It was first discovered by Sheikh Murat Gazi by soaking and roasting chickpeas. Chickpeas, which started to be produced in the Aegean region after the Central Anatolia region, is produced from white chickpeas, unlike Çorum. For this reason, white chickpeas produced in the Aegean region are also called "Chicken Chickpeas".
